Human Rights Cartoon Exhibition

I hereby annouce an online digital cartoon that showcases political cartoons from Asean countries entitled “Human Rights in ASEAN: The Cartoonists Perspective.”

The exhibition which takes place from 1st July to 31 July 2021 is organized by Malaysian political cartoonist Zunar and FNF – Fredrich Naumann Foundation.

Themed ‘Human Rights in ASEAN’, it exhibits 81 unsparing cartoons by 38 cartoonists from the ASEAN region. There are 13 from Malaysia (including Zunar), 13 from Indonesia, 4 from Thailand, 6 from the Philippines and 2 cartoonist representing Myanmar.
Among the issues highlighted in the main gallery are: The state of emergency in Malaysia; the royal defamation law in Thailand; the murderous war on drugs in the Philippines; the coup in Myanmar and religious extremism in Indonesia.

Dr. Maszlee Abdul Malik, Former Education Minister of Malaysia is scheduled to launch this event online on 3rd July at 2 pm. Other honorary speakers are Mr. Eddin Khoo, PUSAKA Founder-Director and Executive Editor, Culture, News Features, Southeast Asia Desks – The Vibes, Mr. Moritz Kleine-Brockhoff, Regional Head of FNF Southeast & East Asia and Zunar himself. Pameran Kartun Hak Asasi

Saya dengan ini mengumumkan sebuah pameran kartun berbentuk digital bertajuk ” “Human Rights in ASEAN: The Cartoonists Perspective.” Pameran yang berlangsung dari 1 Julai sehingga 31 Julai 2021 ini adalah anjuran kartunis politik Malaysia, Zunar dan FNF – Fredrich Naumann Foundation.

Bertemakan “Hak Asasi di ASEAN”, ia mempamerkan 87 kartun kritis hasil karya 38 kartunis dari negara-negara Asean. Mereka adalah 13 dari Malaysia (termasuk Zunar), 13 dari Indonesia, 4 dari Thailand, 6 dari Filipina dan 2 dari Myanmar.

Antara isu yang difokus dalam galeri utama ialah: Perintah darurat di Malaysia; Undang-undang mengenai raja di Thailand; Pembunuhan/peperangan dadah di Filipina; Rampasan Kuasa di Myanmar and Extrimis Agama di Indonesia.

Dr. Maszlee Abdu Malik, mantan Menteri Pendidikan Malaysia akan merasmikan pameran ini secara atas talian pada 3 Julai, jam 2 petang. Turut berucap di majlis pelancaran tersebut ialah Sdr. Eddin Khoo, PUSAKA Founder-Director and Executive Editor, Culture, News Features, Southeast Asia Desks – The Vibes, Sdr.
